Netflix Party is the latest feature added to Google chrome by Netflix. We already love Netflix as it is and we are more than excited to tell you all about the new Netflix Party feature.
Therefore, if you are as excited about the new feature as we are, then just get comfortable and read on. We promise that we won’t leave anything out.
What is a Netflix Party?
The Netflix Party, well it’s a party on Netflix. Okay, on a serious note, it’s a new extension that allows you to watch Netflix with your friends and watch at the same time. Sounds like the usual right Netflix and chill night right?
However, the only difference is that you can do this remotely. You don’t have to be in the same place to watch the same movie with your friends and at the same time. That why we are so excited about the Netflix Party.
Why the Netflix Party Feature?
- Due to the increasing number of covid-19 cases, people have gone self-quarantine. However, this does not mean that you still can’t have a good time with your friends. Netflix wants to prove that even though you are self-quarantine, you can still enjoy. They are the latest hero of the day as they gave their users a great alternative to the usual Netflix and chill.
- With the NP feature, you can still have the same night out friends and chat. It is almost like playing live dealer online casino games. Where you still get to have all the casino fun, but still at home. With the NP feature, even under self-quarantine you still get all the Netflix night fun but at your separate homes.
How do I use Netflix Party?
- You need to go to the Netflix website on Google. When you do, just click “Get Netflix Party Free”. This will then you send you to the Netflix Party page on the Chrome web store.
- Then you click “Add to Chrome” and “Add Extension” in the window poo up. Thereafter, Netflix Party will be added to the top right corner in Google Chrome browser. It will be next to the address with the initials NP.
- You need to make sure that your friends have downloaded the NP on their browsers as well.
- Then go to the Netflix website on Google Chrome and play the movie that you all want to watch
- From there, you need to click the NP on your browser. You will have the option of making yourself the one in charge of the movie. You do this by checking the “Only I have control” box. If you do not, anyone in your watch party can do so.
- Then you click the “Start the Party” button and copy the URL that appears. Send this URL to the people whom you want to join your watch party.
- When your friends open the link, the go to Netflix and hit the NP button in their Chrome browsers.
- Once this is done, you are all good to go. You can chat with each other via the group chat on the right side of the screen.

The latest NP feature from Netflix is amazing. You can easily have one of the best movie nights of your life with it. And since we know that the word is in panic because of the coronavirus cases, it is especially ideal for those who have themselves under self-quarantine.
